The farmstay is located in Chon gaon, 65km away from Mumbai. It is owned by a well known doctor in Badlapur and was initially personal farm house for the family.

The site has a very strong pre-existing landscape. This project being more on a renovation side, challenge was to balance the existing construction with additional renovations as planned by Dr Samel. Being an art lover she had few ideas which were discussed and technically corrected before execution. Mistakes made in the existing construction were rectified and molded into new form.

Designing cottages and tree house was our call as per her desire. The tree house becomes the most interesting space as if enveloped in a stone, which beholds spa at lower level and guest rooms on upper level.

We are also designing a communtiy hall and a souvenir shop for the farmstay. Landscape planning is also taken into consideration. We have also added up more artistic touch by designing special furnitures using scrap materials for this project. The project follows sustainability through its materials.
